PollSmart MR Poll for Louisiana Runoff
For the past year, we have been working with Prodege, a leading market research panel provider, to develop PollSmart MR.
PollSmart MR provides self-service access to the same type of statewide polling data regularly used by campaigns and news organizations. Our goal is to push the industry forward with high sample quality and improved accuracy of political polls.
The links below contain reports and crosstabs for the governor’s race in Louisiana. It looks like a very close election with high turnout.
Incumbent John Bel Edwards (D) holds an 8-point lead (46% to 38%) over Eddie Rispone (R) among registered voters. The lead shrinks to 1-point among likely voters. When undecided likely voters are pressed to make a choice (Leaners), Rispone is up 1-point (48% to 47%).
However, that lead disappears when you include early voters. When you add early voters to the mix, Edwards has a 4-point lead (50% to 46%), with 4% undecided.
